RAF FA Staff Vacancy – Director of Coaching

The role of RAF FA Director of Coaching has become vacant and applications are now invited for this position; this post (voluntary / additional duty) is open to all serving Royal Air Force Personnel.

Applicants should hold a: UEFA ‘A’ licence or have held a UEFA ‘B’ licence for a minimum of 3-years.

The applicant must have a minimum of five years left to serve in the RAF.

The applicant must be prepared to act as a Trustee for the Charitable Ltd Company that is the Royal Air Force Football Association.

The role of Director of Coaching will report directly to the Chairman of the RAF FA BoT and will encompass FA structure and procedures under the following areas:

• To promote and encourage coach development at all levels within the RAF.

• To identify high calibre coaches and to mentor them along the coaching pathway to the highest level for the benefit of the RAF FA.

• Implement and act as Chairman of a Royal Air Force Coaching Association.

• In conjunction with the RAFFA FDO arrange 4 x regional training sessions annually for FA Charter Standard Units.

• Provide interesting and topical coaching articles for publication in every addition of the RAF FA Extra Time magazine and the website.

• Provide advice to the Director of Representative Teams on the appointment of Representative Team coaches.

• Provide advice to the 4 x RAF FA Regional Directors on the appointment of coaches for their Regional Representative Teams.

• Provide advice to the RAF FDO on the selection of high calibre coaches to be developed as Coach Educators.
