The Royal Air Force Football Association. Football plays a key role in assisting fitness and teamwork, vital for successful operations. Football is played in some 40 RAF Units in the UK and 4 permanent large RAF units overseas in Cyprus, Gibraltar, Germany and Belgium. Football is also used by Commanders for fitness, competition, team-building, recreation and personal development in world-wide locations, including the Falkland Islands, Ascension Island, Afghanistan and Iraq.
