Diversity and Inclusion

The RAF FA is committed to promoting and developing equality and diversity in all its activities and for everyone involved with RAF Football, irrespective of race, gender, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, disability, religion, sexual orientation, age or socio-economic circumstances.

We are proud of the work undertaken by the RAF FA Inclusion Advisory Group (IAG) who meet regularly to help shape and deliver equality, diversity and inclusion across RAF football delivery. The IAG is made up of a group of diverse personnel representing the key Protected Characteristics and the Whole Force make up of the RAF across all ranks, with specific representatives for Gender, Age, LGBTQ+ and Historically Underrepresented groups, plus coaches, referees, SRT and grassroots members.

Currently, the RAF FA has achieved both the Foundation and Preliminary levels of the
Equality Standard for Sport and will begin working towards the Intermediate level, as soon as the next version is released by UK Sport. In the meantime, the IAG continues to monitor and develop output across the RAF FA, under the headings of:

- Recruitment & Retention
- Learning & Development

- Communication

- Policies

- Board of Trustees

- Programmes and Station Pilots including Vulnerable Adults, Female participation, Historically Underrepresented groups and LGBTQ+ participation
- Talent and Performance

- Officials

- Representation and Outreach
