The FA Level 2 in Coaching Football course is being discontinued and will be replaced by the UEFA C Licence, which will launch in 2022.

The UEFA C Licence will blend e-learning, mentoring and on-the-pitch development to help you build and shape your own philosophy as a football coach. More updates will become available shortly.

Course Pre-requisites

Prior to registration, learners must:

  • be accurately identified
  • be at least 16 years of age
  • have completed the 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Football
  • be able to communicate effectively in English (this includes listening, speaking, reading and writing).
  • hold an in date FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF) (previously known as FA Emergency Aid)
  • hold a current certificate for The FA Safeguarding Children Course, The FA Safeguarding Children How We Support or The FA Online Safeguarding Children Recertification
  • regularly coaching a group of players in England who are aged u7+ and whom regularly play in organised/competitive fixtures in order to complete the assessed project and thus be eligible to complete the qualification

Outcomes

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate a series of progressive football coaching sessions independently
  • Consider the age, ability, maturity and experience of players in your care

Courses run by the RAF FA are for military personnel only.

Total price for this course is paid in x3 parts (£125.00 block 1, £100 block 2, £100 block 3).

The RAF FA are following FA and Government guidance and are currently unable to deliver courses due to Covid-19. We continue to monitor the situation and will restart delivery when it is safe to do so. Yes, the NEW FA Introduction to Football will replace the old FA Level 1 in Coaching Football moving forward.

No, the NEW FA Introduction to Coaching Football is delivered fully online. In person CPD to support newly qualified coaches will be delivered by The RAF FA throughout the season.

The NEW Introduction to Coaching Football is administered centrally by The FA Education team including booking and delivery. Please remember to select The RAF FA as your local county FA at point of booking.

Yes - individuals may apply to use their Standard Learning Credits subject to meeting certain conditions.

Yes, all previous qualifications are valid and remain on your FAN profile. To see your associated qualifications please visit the My Account section HERE. If you need further support please contact The RAF FA HQ team and we will do our best to support.

Yes, you will need to complete The FA Playmaker course prior to booking onto The FA Introduction to Coaching Football Course.
