RAF FA Vets FC Achieve FA Charter Standard

The RAF FA Vets FC have been awarded FA Charter Standard after tireless work from the club committee during the COVID hit 2020-2021 season. FA Charter Standard (soon to be renamed England Football Accreditation) is a kitemark programme that is awarded to those clubs who go above and beyond on and off the pitch.

Criteria that The RAF FA Vets FC had to meet to be awarded FA Charter Standard included ensuring all football is played with a qualified FA First Aider present, being financially sustainable and providing an inclusive environment for all associated to the club.

The FA Charter Standard programme is designed to provide clubs with a template on how they can provide the best experience for their members which is something The RAF FA Vets always strive to do. The mission of the Royal Air Force Football Association Veterans Football Club is to provide greater playing opportunities and engagement to those personnel over the age of 35 years old, whether currently serving or who have previously served in the Royal Air Force. Through an extended family, their ultimate aims and goals are to encourage and maintain physical fitness, promote social interaction and mental well-being and creating a great team spirit and excellent camaraderie and togetherness within the group.

The RAF FA Vets season normally runs from August to May with matches taking place all over the country including the prestigious St George’s Park with serving and retired RAF personnel travelling from across the world to meet up, play football and socialise.
